"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." - Unknown

R.I.P USA 1789 - 200? Destroyed from WithinToday, in America, there is an all too prevalent and appalling apathy as our liberties are ripped away in a gruesome fashion not unlike some ugly partial-birth abortion procedure! As Americans, we are ignorant of the restrictions placed upon the government and the rights of the peoples secured by our Constitution. We are succumbing to our fears, be they real or artificial. Wanton greed and the fallacy of 'Government knows best' has permeated American politics, society and culture. My friends, the Constitution and our very way of life are under attack!

Methodical attempts to dismember the Constitution are not a new phenomenon, but have gained reckless momentum during the past four decades. The causes are many and varied. Public education carries much of the blame, the infiltration of radical professors on American campuses and their subsequent influence on unwitting students, politicians' intent on seizing power for their own vested interests as well as the ongoing indifference of a superficial and insipid populace. Whatever the cause, inescapably, this dilemma rests solely with 'we the people'. Americans must end their indifference, get off their collective backsides and reacquaint themselves with our founding documents (The Declaration of Independence - The Constitution - The Bill of Rights) and the original intent of our founding fathers. Americans must read and make a prudent attempt to understand these documents while setting aside the specious, convoluted and deliberate misinterpretations often invoked by past and present legislators and justices. The liberties at stake are your liberties and they shall not be preserved if you choose to sit idle in ignorance and silence. Let us not forget the words of John Adams, "Liberty cannot be preserved without general knowledge among the people ..."

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that you shall receive the government your silence and inaction has disposed you to endure. Are you are eager to suffer the wrongs placed upon you? Are you willing to allow the unopposed usurpation of our liberties? Will this train of abuses go unchallenged? And on a more personal level, have the defenders of our liberties (military veterans) been deceived in their willingness to sacrifice their lives in the preservation of that which you take for granted and are willing to discard for your simple, contrived and pathetic convenience?

Inaction and silence are no longer options! The citizenry must regain control and prevent the actions of the self-destructive "enemies" within this nation. We must renounce those in government intent on destroying our inalienable rights and vigilantly defend our constitutional liberties from future assault; it is our right, it is our duty and it is our only hope lest we reach the swiftly approaching point of no return.

*** End Part 1 ***

As we continue this series, we hope you will reflect upon our present situation, the direct attacks upon our Constitution and consider these words, affirmed in our Declaration of Independence: "whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government …"
